It’s 1993. Nico Grootendorst sets up his company Combifleur. Having started out specialising in cut flowers from seed and sales of young plants, the company soon branches out into breeding. Growing, flourishing and developing varieties that more than meet Western European standards. In 2008 Combifleur joins forces with the vegetable plant specialist Combiplant to form the joint venture Combinations. In 2013 it’s time for the next step, and Evanthia is born. The company leaves Combinations and focuses entirely on breeding cut flowers and pot and bedding plants, propagating tropical plants and optimising seed.

The Evanthia team soon develops a reputation for innovation which manifests itself in excellent original genetics. From breeding to customer service and from sales to logistics, we pride ourselves on our quality, attention to detail and personal service. We think outside the box. We are here for you.
